CWHA is a great place to show your horse. Whether you are just starting out, or if you have lots of experience, there is something for everyone. Our club does not discriminate! All breeds, colours and sizes of horse welcome! We have classes for; Senior, Junior, Midget, Walk/Trot and Leadline.

The CWHA requires that you be a Manitoba Horse Club (MHC) member to participate in the horse shows. Membership forms are available on the MHC website.
What you need to know before the show
All competitors of all ages must sign a consent form. If you are under 18 your parent/guardian must also sign. Copies will be available during registration at all the shows. CWHA Competitors are responsible for ensuring their entry form has been delivered and received by the show secretary, prior to the deadline, in order to qualify for the early entry registration fee. Any CWHA Event, Class, Prizes & Awards are subject to change. They may be modified, removed or cancelled at the discretion of the CWHA Board & Show Management. By participating in CWHA events, all competitors agree to abide by the rules of the show and the governing bodies, NRHA and AQHA. The CWHA reserves the right to interpret these rules and regulations. All decisions will be final. By way of making an entry, the exhibitor is assuming responsibility for knowledge of the rules and releases show management from any claims or losses.

CWHA reserves the right to cancel an event without notice at any time without liability to the show management. In the event of such cancellation, entry fees or other show fees paid in advance shall be refunded.
**Helmets are required to be worn by all riders under the age of 18 at all CWHA events, no exceptions**
Manitoba Horse Council Memberships are mandatory to compete with the CWHA
Hold onto your back number, you will keep the same number all year, if you lose it, it will be your responsibility to replace it.
Class Schedule & Eligibility
It is the responsibility of the rider / exhibitor to know the rules and the conditions in which they will compete.
CWHA shows typically follow the schedule listed below, however the schedule may change, due to special events. Classes will generally start with with Senior, then Junior and finish with Midget age groups, although that too is subject to change.
Show Registration will always start at 8:00 AM sharp
Lunch will be taken around noon or at some natural breaking point (between classes) it will be dependent upon the number of entries and venue. End time of a show will also vary with the number of entries. The following is a list of classes you can normally expect to see on a show entry form, these are subject to change dependant on how many entries we receive at an individual show.

- Western Horsemanship Walk /Trot Youth - Senior
- Western Horsemanship Senior - Junior - Midget
- Barrels Senior - Junior - Midget
- Poles Senior - Junior - Midget
- Keyhole Senior - Junior - Midget
- Reining Senior - Junior - Midget
- Open Costume Class (Optional)
- Open Modified Working Cow Horse (without the cow) (Optional)
Eligibility - Age Categories:
- Leadline: no age limit (no cross entry with Walk/Trot)
- Walk/Trot: 8 years of age and under (no cross entry with Leadline)
- Youth: 18 years of age and under
- Midget: 13 years of age and under
- Junior: 14-18 years of age
- Senior: 19 years of age and over
All ages for all competitors are as of January 1st of the current year.
